Hi everyone. I am an IB student in Denmark. There is a special course in the IB programme, which is called CAS. It demands their candidates to do something for the society all around the world. And as I have cooked chinese food for 2 years, I decided to make a cooking tutorial blog. I will keep uploading here regularly, and I wish, that this blog can bring new gastronomic experiences to a lot of people. :D.

Sweet white radish

So. As there is a visitor calls shipthatflew asked me to show a chilled dish. I find a fast, simple chilled chinese dish from internet. Get some sweet cold radish is the best idea in the sommer time.
Cold dish's name: Sweet white radish !!



Materials that you need: White radish 800g. Vinegar 15g (Not the dark venigar. Colorless one.) Sugar 25g. Cooked sesame seeds. (some)

Step 1: Peel the radish. and wash it of course.

Step 2: Cut the radish in slices first. Then cut them into strips ( this is the hardest part. Cut it slowly and be careful not to cut your finger.


Step 3: Add venigar and sugar into the stripped radish. Mix them and put them into a container. Place the container into the freezer for 10 minutes(Freezer is better. or you can put them into fridge for 20 minutes)

Step 4: take them out. Spread some cooked sesames upon it.

Step 5: enjoy it :-)

Thanks for posting, Tianci! I'll try this as soon as I can get the radish from the store. Sorry I didn't respond a week ago, but we've been having computer problems here.
